Cold, Icy Places!!!

This week we have been learning about water in the solid form. Last week our class voted to begin our research on icebergs and glaciers first in our quest to discover Water, Water Everywhere. Today we did an activity that helped us to understand how snow merges together to form large sheets of ice. We used marshmallows to represent snow. They were very excited to relate the real life, hands-on experiment with what we have been learning so far. They were even more excited to eat the marshmallows =-)

These friends showed us how to land a plane after they visited the Auburn Airport!

AEEC had a celebration on Friday!!!

We had a school celebration on Friday and got to see our friends proform their special talents. We sang really cool songs with Mrs. H, and learned about what themes other pods have from students! The students had a blast!!!

Nothing like singing and dancing!!!!

We had special guest on Friday! Life South Blood Bank friends came in and spoke with us about how blood flows and how we can all help save lives by donating blood. Thanks for the visit friends!!!

Trike Ride Celebration

My sweet friends had a blast at our pep rally today! Just look at their faces =-) Congratulations to the students who won the brand new trikes. Way to go friends!

Pep Rally at AEEC!!!

We had a pep rally today to celebrate the money our sweet friends raised for Trike Ride. Together our school raised an amazing, CRAZY amount! In honor of the success, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Folmar did something CRRRAAAZZZZYYYY too! Check out the rockin' hair! =-) They are such troopers!!!

Graphing

 We have been completing different types of graphs and lists this week. Graphing is about making choices, and these little ones are all about having choices! They have truly enjoyed creating and helping fill in our charts = )

Centers

There is nothing like learning through hands-on experiences! Students enjoy the many centers in our classroom and most of all, one another =-)

Show and Tell!!!

Each week on Fridays we have a "Show and Tell" session in class. My students look forward to bringing things that are special to them and sharing details with the class. It is always exciting to hear about what makes things special to us!
